Why is there no gate assignment for my flight?

The flight data presented in the app is aggregated from various sources including the FAA, airlines, airports, a flight schedule provider and a weather provider. Some times our sources do not provide us with a gate assignment, in which case the app does not show one. In some cases, a gate assignment has not been made yet. Some airlines do not publish the gate assignment until the day of travel because they often change at the last minute.
